What's an idea without a man ?
Coming home today from work, I was a little tired but not really sleep, so I turned on my computer (as I unfortunately usually do) and started to stumble around for stuff. Intersting things you find on this Internet today, I tell ya. Lots and lots - AND lots - of stuff about everything you can and cannot imagine. I wouldn't wonder if there are maybe 10 times more web pages on Internet then there are people on Earth. There are a little over 4 billion IPv4 addresses and they switched now to IPv6 addresses, probably because they run out of IPv4s. I should start my own web page, posting a thumbnail of a second in every pixel of it, see where itgets me in a few years. Wouldn't wanna know...
However, stumbling instead of jammin' as my ol' man Marley used to say, I got over an interesting quote on some probably old fella's nice designed web page, and it got me thinking. But first, I will quote the quote that raised me problems:
So, I started thinking: is it really a man who counts, much rather then an idea ? Of course it is, a man can create ideas but ideas cannot creat man - only God can create man. But instead of fighting for God, we fight for ideas, defend them - sometimes even to death, we sacrifice freedom, beloved ones, life itself, for ideas that sometimes bring us redemption (case in which I guess the iea was rather the engine that kept us going then the scope itself) but most of the times they die as they were born, because other ideas will take their place. I don't think examples are really senseful here, so I'll skip the examples part. Coming to what I actually wanted to say, the quote seemed quite nice as it got me thinking. But then I asked myself: who is this guy ? Why is he quoting something like that ? Does he/she want to be liked by the website or it's content or design he/she has ? Does he/she have a name ? What does he/she believe in ? Why doesn't he/she post what they think, what they value in life ? But instead quote of something that says - not directly, it's true - that quotation has no value without it's creator.
What I think about quotes and ideas ? I think that if you quote something without understanding it's deepful meaning, you can directly not quote it anymore. You don't have to prove to others that you udnerstand a quote, that you value the person or what they've done in life so that their quotes became quite meaningful later on. You have to understand a quote, or an idea, for yourself. And it may not be a person's integrity or personality valuable, yet they may still have said things in their life that make perfect sense if you get the true meaning, but the rest of their creation can be toal bullshit. Still, for that single moment of revelation when they said a big thing that stayed on forever, that person is valuable even if the rest of their lifes they did bad things or meaningless things. And I'm talking about the creators of quotes, the creators of ideas right now, and not about the one who bring their ideas further.
I sometimes use quotes to better express myself, because they're getting quite handy sometimes. But if you don't understand the whole philosophy of a saying, of an idea, you don't understand anything. Big people said big things, but they also said stupid things maybe sometimes. Small people said smnall things, but they may have had moments of inspiration when they said big things. And then, what does an idea or a quote use for, if you don't get the meaning of it ? If you ask me, big or great people got there because of their beliefs, their way of life, their philosophy about things, and not by staying in a room thing of clever things after which to be remembered centuries further. And that is what counts. And then, a quote from such a person, a quote that we feel it has great value, is just a glimpse of what they've experienced in life, and it can encapsulate their whole life, but most of the time we are too closed-up to feel that.
So we need to unlearn all the crap we have gathered along our lives, all the meaningless things and stones we're wearing on our back, all the quotes we ever heard or read, all the ideas we ever fought for or believed, and look at ourself. Be conscious about what we do, about the way we live our lives, even about the ignorance we put most of the time in our actions, about why we find a quote meaningful, or about why we think an idea is great, and start filling forms with matter. It may be hard, it may get really crappy and hurtful, but as long as we don't give up and stay on the right track, leave aside hate, anger, anxiety, sadness, boredom, excessive speed in living life, ignorance and all there is more, we will never feel real happiness with our heart, not only with our mind.
Coming back to the original text, I liked the idea quoted there but when I saw the "like" link at the bottom of it, I thought: yeah, OK ... I like the idea but I don't knwo the person. I would really like to know the person.
Great bolg dude!
P.S.: This is what I call reall happiness:

We are told to remember the idea, not the man. Because a man can fail. He can be killed and forgotten. But four hundred years later an idea can still change the world. I’ve witnessed firsthand the power of ideas. I’ve seen people kill in the name of them; and die defending them. But you cannot touch an idea, cannot hold it or kiss it. An idea does not bleed, it cannot feel pain, and it does not love. And it is not an idea that I miss, it is a man. A man who made me remember the fifth of November. A man I will never forget.~V For Vendetta

Tu Vuo fa L'Americano
Hello everyone!
Zilele trecute am auzit o piesa destul de antrenanta si ieri am aflat sice piesa e. Piesa e un remix dupa Renato Carosone - Tu Vuò Fa' L'Americano, iar piesa de care vorbesc e Yolanda Be Cool - We No Speak Americano. Enjoy!
Renato Carosone - Tu Vuò Fa' L'Americano
Yolanda Be Cool & DCup - We No Speak Americano
